Royal Shores Maintenance Update - March 6, 2014
Spring is almost here and the Board would like to update you on what is going on in Royal Shores.
-The newly constructed pier has been stained and sealed to improve its appearance and lengthen its nominal life. Sadly, we have had two incidents of graffiti by irresponsible vandals since the new pier was rebuilt.
-Protective shields have been installed on the new pier flood lights. The pier is brightly illuminated from dusk to dawn.
-The stone monuments and walls throughout the community have been power washed to remove dirt and mildew.
-The sprinkler system has been pressured up and leaks and broken sprinkler heads have been repaired after the winter shut down.
-During March, the regular lawn maintenance spring/ summer mowing schedule (March through October) will resume.
-Dead trees that detract from appearance and/or threaten the area are scheduled for removal during this month....weather permitting.
-Spring plants and mulch will be installed during April or early May. Current plantings are beginning to provide color and will be replaced by new heat resistant plants in the second quarter.
-The increased police patrols by the Pct. 4 Constables continue and the officers are beginning to issue citations for speeding, running stop signs, and disperse unwanted groups in the Pier Park area. Several suspicious persons/vehicles have been stopped and questioned. The Constable patrols will be scheduled more frequently as we approach Spring Break which starts Monday, March 10th. We believe the community is benefiting from the Constables/ presence and encourage everyone to drive cautiously and lawfully.
